North Norfolk Railway

The school charter at the intermediate stop of Weybourne, hauled by Great Eastern class Y14 number 664 which spent most of its working life in Norfolk and Suffolk.

We walked a short way along the coast path, refreshed by the chilly breeze, returned to the town and then Christine went back to the hostel for her bike. She rode up the coast to Cley and caalled in on the National Trust’s Sheringham Park estate.

Rowan and I spent a very relaxing day on the North Norfolk Railway with rides behind the repatriated former War Department 2-10-0 and the class 37.

Sunny all day, and warm on the railway out of the wind.
