Tuesday March 25th began with the 500m walk to Affori Centro metro station then line 3 (direction San Donato, 5 stops, 8 min) to the main station.

We chose regional trains to avoid paying for reservations, and still had three hours to see Verona and get to our Venice apartment by late afternoon, a vaporetto doing most of the work. We stayed at the two bedroomed Bacanal apartment, € 558 plus € 36 tourist tax for four nights.

Our well equipped apartment was in a quiet location but close to shops and to Piazza San Marco, we enjoyed three relaxing days in this car free city, with visits to the Doge’s Palace and vaporetto rides to the islands of Murano and Burano.
