After breakfast, we walked to Esplanade de La Défense Metro line 1 station and were whisked to Gare de Lyon in 24 minutes.

The TGV Lyria reservations were €30 each, same price as for Eurostar but there’s no realistic regional train alternative. On alighting at Zurich, the adjacent train was for Chur but we decided to stick with our plan and have a quick look at the city in the vicinity of the station. In Chur, we stayed at Hotel Post in a room with 3 single beds, shared bathroom, breakfast included (from 07:00), reasonable value for Switzerland. In the town, even a basic pizza was over 20CHF so we ate our left over food instead.
