Tregaron to Cenarth

We rose at 7:00 as the mist was clearing to a clear blue sky but we didn’t get away until 9:30, easy cycling at first along a quiet B road. The sky gradually clouded over, it was still very warm and humid. We were ready for a coffee stop by Lampeter but nothing was open so we pressed on, the route becoming more undulating with steeper hills. We called in on the Teifi Valley Railway, a lovely quiet line with plenty of stock awaiting restoration. There was a cafe here too!

We stayed the night at the Meadow campsite in Cenarth, a pretty tourist village. It started to rain while I was cooking so we had to eat in the tent, after which we tried out the village’s two pubs.
