Today was May 1st, and a national holiday. The citizens of Cordoba were enjoying the sunshine sitting outside bars or participating in traditional music, and we were glad of the warmth after the three days of unexpected chill. We visited the amazing mezquita, a mosque that was converted to a cathedral after the Moors were banished and a bizarre mix of the two religious styles. Then we strolled around the streets of the Juderia and down by the river and across the bridge.
We booked a table at an organic restaurant for the evening to round off a great day in this beautiful city.
