Pollenca

A room with a kettle!
A room with a kettle!

After an endless night in the reclining seats we were relieved to dock at Palma after a 06:00 breakfast on the ferry cafeteria. We walked off the boat and cycled into town, heading for the railway station for the train to Lloseta and thence along quiet country lanes to Pollenca. The original plan had been a hilly 100km ride but we were too exhausted after the sleepless night.

We were cycling on the edge of the Tramuntana range, enjoying beautiful views. As we were nearing Pollenca we saw more and more cyclists, from solo riders to large groups, mainly Spanish, German and British. We found our hotel, which unusually had cooking facilities for guests and also a kettle in the room.

We spent the afternoon looking round the straggly old town and took a long time to find a supermarket. We cooked a pasta dish back at the hotel and were glad to get to bed for an early night.
