A scare on our last day, I’d read last night that the long running Belgian Railways industrial dispute had flared up again, reducing services today. Luckily there was an 06:57 to Brussels, only 16 minutes earlier than our intended train, but not much leeway if it was cancelled. It wasn’t but we had to stand as far as Brussels South.

I was surprised how much the additional fees inflated the total cost of the fare, half this being for Eurostar, but still good value for an intensive three weeks of city visits.
