Loch Slapin, on the road to Elgol

We looked out of our bedroom window at the sea fret and dressed appropriately to walk to the Co-op for bread. I also found a small packet of ground coffee in the store, which I could use with the hostel cafetiere having exhausted my supply of coffee bags. After a caffine enhanced breakfast we made our lunchtime sandwiches and left for Elgol. We left the mist behind and were soon riding in hot sunshine.

The road was moderately busy with tourists, we reached Elgol at 12:45 having stopped for numerous photographs along the scenic route. We stopped for ice cream at the shop on the way out of the village to fuel the steep push up the fearsome hill, after which the riding was easy. We called in at the Blue Shed Cafe for cold drinks and excellent cake on the way back to Broadford.
