A mainly sunny day with occasional cloud, chilly in the wind and warm out of it. We packed up and checked in to Tigh na Mara guesthouse, then rode north to the end of the road with only the day’s essentials. Sorisdale comprises a modern farm and remains of an old crofting settlement, two stone houses with turf roofs below which is a pristine sandy beach. We picnicked here and then walked along rough ground to another empty beach.
We returned to the bikes and stopped on the way back to Arinagour for a short walk to a third beach, watched by surprised sheep, and on to our base for the night.
