The coast road east of Puerto de Mogan is closed by rock falls, the alternatives being the motorway and a water taxi for cyclists and pedestrians which calls in on a couple of intermediate resorts on the way to Arguineguin. The coastal ferry took a relaxing 70 minutes.
From Arguineguin we cycled up the valley in the company of lots of roadies. We were surprised how easy it was until we turned back and realised we’d been helped by a tailwind which now opposed us. Back at the junction we turned onto the GC500 to ride to Maspalomas for another night at Fortuny and another swim in their pool.
