The rain started at 06:50, just as we were thinking about getting up, so we stayed in the tent longer than normal and didn’t get away until ten. We called into the small village of Llangadog for lunch provisions but didn’t use them as it started raining again as we approached the Red Pig Inn at Llanddeusant. They served food and it was quiet with a friendly landlord who also runs an organic farm. It was a good decision as the rain increased in intensity during our stay. When it eased, we continued on along the deserted lanes to cross the A40 and along the old road above it to Aberyscir where our friends Angela and Paul live.
