A leisurely start with a late breakfast after figuring out the washing machine. After unloading, we hung the clothes around the apartment and climbed up to the mirador for a view over the city.
We interrupted our walking tour with a freshly squeezed orange juice and admired the cathedral and the other old constructions, returning to base for lunch. The city was lively with a rock band playing and families enjoying the Sunday sunshine. Christine wrote postcards in the afternoon, then we revisited the nearby supermarket and afterwards treated ourselves to ice cream.

I cooked dinner and we went out for an evening stroll as the last of the day’s sun illuminated the top half of the cathedral, the air pleasantly cool and still plenty of people out and about.
